Shop Policies

Order process and delivery

Once you have signed off on the digital proof and I have your go-ahead, changes will not be permissible. Once you have placed your order, so long as I have all the details required I will contact you within 24-48 hours with your digital proof for approval. I will then liaise with you until you are happy with your design. The colour and style of the map itself will vary depending on what I am able to source for your location so you may wish to change your embroidery colour at this point. 

Once you have explicitly signed off your proof I will put your item into production.  If I am unable to find a map for your location or you are unhappy with your proof you can cancel your order for a full refund. Cancellations subsequent to proof approval are not permitted.

Delivery for the hand-embroidered items is within 2 weeks of payment clearing. Once your item has dispatched you will receive a tracking number. International orders generally take 5-10 days in shipping (not 100% guaranteed, depending on customs etc!) and UK takes 1-3 working days. Shipping costs are calculated on checkout. All customers are responsible for any customs charges that may be incurred.

Any items that do not arrive in the post please report to me so I can track. If the item is irretrievably lost in the post I will issue a replacement, subject to the same 14 days manufacture prior to dispatch.

Item care & quality

Maps are printed onto 100% cotton and hand-embroidered with 100% cotton threads. The hoop is waxed beech wood. The hoop is backed with card to hide any stitching on the reverse. As the item is entirely hand-made and finished there will be small imperfections which add to the character and authenticity of the pieces. you are not buying a mass-produced item. You can see the quality in the images on this page or in my gallery for reassurance of the attention to detail. 

Please hang out of direct sunlight to avoid any fading and keep away from water - the ink is not waterproof!


If the front of the item is damaged on receipt then I will ask you to photograph the damage and send to me, then return the item to me so I can issue a replacement (subject to the same 14 days manufacture prior to dispatch).

If there is an error on the item details that was not on the digital proof that you signed off - i.e. the wrong map, wrong date or wrong initials then I will issue a replacement. If the error was on the digital proof that was subsequently signed off by you then the responsibility is yours and you are obliged to complete the transaction.
